Rotary Club of Chikodi August report

Elocution Competition was conducted for the High School Students on 14th August on the eve of 66th Independence Day. The topic was : Glorious India after Independence". 21 students participated in the competition which was conducted in English, Kannada, Marathi and Hindi. The winners were felicitated during second Rotary Family Dinner on 25th August

A special Lecuture on " Indian Postal Service and its Growth" was held during the weekly meeting on 21st August as a part of Club Service Project. Rtn Darshan Upadhye was the Speaker. 

The Rotract Club was revived after three years at Chikodi. The Installation of Office Bearers was held in a glittering ceremony on 25th August. Rtn Jayasimha, President, Rotary Club installed Mr Siddarth Mali and Mr Yogeshwar as President and Secretary. 

A Three Day Free Naturopathy and Yoga Camp in association with JG Ayurvedic Hospital and Yoga Centre, Ghataprabha and Indian Medical Association was conducted from 24.08.12 to 26.08.12. More than 120 members participated in the camp and were benefited.

The Second Rotary MIlan (Rotary Family Dinner) was held on 25th August. Three Rotarians Rtn V.S.Manjrekar, Rtn Prabhu Belland and Rtn Dr Uttam Neje hosted dinner to the Rotary Pariwar. The Installation of Rotract Club, Distribution of Prize to the winner of Elecution Competition and release of Club Bulletin SPLASH were the attractions of the programme.

Tree Plantation programme was held on 31st August at the premises of Rtn Shivamurthi Padalale's Industrial Unit. Shri Rudresh, the Assistant Commissioner and Shri Rajasekhar Dambal
