Rotract Club of Chikodi

Rotract Club of Chikodi has been revived again at Chikodi. The office bearers of the club were installed on 25th August at a glittering ceremony during the Rotary Family Dinner. Mr Siddarth Mali was installed as President and Yogeshwar as Secretary.

SELF STUDY TECHNIQUES & WAY TO SUCCESS’


CLUB NAME:  ROTARY CLUB OF VISHRAMBAG
NAME OF PROJECT: WORKSHOP ON ‘ SELF STUDY TECHNIQUES & WAY TO SUCCESS’
A workshop was held on 29th July 2012, Sunday  on ‘Self Study & Way To Success’ for students of standard 5th to standard 9th along with their parents.
Eminent educationalist Prof. Indrajeet Kadam conducted this programe.
Beneficiaries: 358 students + parents


Independence Day -Rotary Club Hubli South

Independence Day was celebrated at our Interact schools Shri Gautam High School & Jai Bharat High Schools on 15th August 2012 at 8am. President Rtn Anil Mohanka Hoisted tricolour National Flag at both the schools. Many fellow Rotarians of our club participated. Our club members distributed sweets & snacks packets.

Picnic

RC HUBLI SOUTH

 Under Club Service project, a picnic to Apsarakonda Falls & Ramtirth Kund near Honnavar & Mirjan Fort near Kumata was organised for Club Members Family. Total 48 members from 16 family of our Club enjoyed the picnic. This Year our club membership is increased from 23 to 30 members with 100 % retention.

Distribution of Malarial Entigen Detection Kits. RC Margao Midtown


 Project Name: Distribution of Malarial Entigen Detection Kits.
Total number of Benifisheries : 5000 patients of Goa State.
Total no. of units : 5000 nos.
Total Cost of Project : Rs. 5 lakhs.


Details: Rotary Club of Margao Midtown distributed 5000 nos of Malarial Entigen Detection Kits. to Goa Medical College (1000 Nos.), DHS Panaji (1000 Nos), Govt. Primary Health Centre Margao (2000 Nos), Hospicio Hospital Margao (1000 Nos). The inaugural function was held at Goa Medical College, 1000 kits were handed over to the Dean of Goa Medical College Dr. Jindal on 10th of July. The concluding session held at Hospicio Hospital Margao in the presence of DG Rtn. Dr. Jorson Fernandes on 17th of July along with Press Conference.

This project was conducted in association with Goa Surgico and Medical Agencies Margao and Genomix Molecular Diagnosis Pvt. Ltd. Hyderabad.

UNIFORMS AND SCHOOL ESSENTIALS - RC Kolhapur Heritage

Name of Club:  Rotary Club of Kolhapur Heritage.
 
Name & Details of Project: UNIFORMS AND SCHOOL ESSENTIALS

"Rotary Club of Kolhapur Heritage" have donated School Uniform, Identity Cards, Slates, Notebooks and other school material to 200 students of "Vikram Highschool", Shivaji Park. Most of the students are from Slum area of Makadwala and Indira Slum area. The school does not charge fees for education, and other needs. Lead taken by our members - "Prasad Mantri", "Rtn Vikrant Patil", "Rtn Rahul Gadre" , "Rtn Mahesh Malani"

Beneficiaries: 200 students

Name & Details of Project: Raksha Bandhan At Blind School &Distribution of Essentials.
Beneficiaries: Rotary Club of Kolhapur Heritage " Rtn Sukhraj Oswal, Rtn Rahul Dudhane, Rtn Jayesh Gandhi, Rtn Rahul Jadhav and Other Respected Heritage Members Conducted the RAKSHABANDHAN @ BLIND SCHOOL at Mirajkar Tikti Kolhapur. The Uniqueness of this acivity is that alongwith the Sweets and Happiness Filled Rakshabandhan, Our Club Members Donated Lajhiim, Sports Accessories, Weighing Scales, Etc to the Blind Schools. President Elect 13-14, Rtn Rohan Sawant took the Lead in Donations. Our Rotractors Have always made the huge task of making this event a complete success. Finally the School Children Sang songs , played Antakshari and enjoyed.

·         Tree Plantation Programme was organised at St Francis School Premises on 7th July and at New HUDCO Colony on 12th July. More than 250 saplings were planted.

TREE Plantation  Program  “ Beautifying Goa was launched on 15th Aug. 2012 at Panaji  Goa by planting trees at   Bandodkar Football Ground, Panaji  in presence of   Smt. Alina Saldhana, Hon’ble Minister of Forest & Environment,  Ms Vaidehi Naik Mayor Corporation of the City of Panaji, Mrs . Nilini Wanchoo wife of His Excellency Governor of Goa, District Governor Rtn Jorson Fernandes Lion Nitin Maganlal, Rtn Parag Sardesai, AG North Goa, Rtn Vinay Pai Raikar, Shri Sanjit Rodrigues Commissioner CCP,Shri Richard D’Souza, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest,  Rtn Shashank Mahatment,  Mr Sudin Kane, Shri Sanjeev Sardesai  and other Rotary Club Members and Guests.  This program Team – Beautifying Goa is the joint  initiative of Rotary International District 3170, Lions International,  in association Government of Goa  with and other likeminded individuals and NGO’s.  Entire  event was coordinated by Mr Sudin Kane, Shri Sanjeev Sardesai and Rtn Shashank Mahatma 

The following clubs from North Goa successfully participated in the tree plantation program on the 15th of August :

Interact Club of Rotary Club of Margao Midtown at OLPS at Cortalim,




The Monthly Report (July) of Interact Club of Rotary Club of Margao Midtown at OLPS at Cortalim, 

Dear DG Rtn. Jorson Fernandes,

On 26th July 2012, our Interact Club Installation Ceremony took place at in our School. The New Board was installed under the leadership of Interactor Eldon Gomes and Secretary Interactor Juelcy Lucas. President Nominee Hum B. Thapa, Joint Secretary Celia Fernandes, Treasurer Kajal Amonkar,Sergent at Arms Mcveanpereira, Club Service Director Laxvi Chari, community service director Mesty D’Souza , Vocational  service director Alida Vaz are installed as a Board  members and our total strength  of the interact club is 40. nos.
Assistant Governor for South Goa, Rtn. Santosh George was the Installation Officer, Rotary Club President Rtn. Shibu welcomed the gathering followed by outgoing Interact Secretary  Lurida Parado had presented last years Club Report followed by the New Board has been installed by the Installation Officer Rtn. Santosh George followed by President Interactor Eldon delivered his acceptance speech and Principal Mrs. Sarojina Souza addressed the gathering. Followed by Installation Officer addressed the Club. Then Rotary Club Secretary Rtn. Brian delivered his facilitation speech later on Vote of Thanks had given by Secretary Interactor Juelcy Lucas The function adjourned by National Anthem after that refreshment had been served.
