New RI Board Decision regarding unpaid dues to Magazine

FOR INFORMATION OF DISTRICT & CLUB LEADERS

Dear District Governor-elect

We have been forwarded the copy of the latest RI Board decision by RI Director Y P Das and it is being published in the June issue of Rotary News.

Item number 4 under the first sub-heading ‘Governor Nominee Election Pilot’ reads as follows:

“Clubs with any outstanding (previous of current period) RI Dues and /or District Dues and / or Magazine Dues shall clear the same by  30 September of the year in order to participate in the election procedure.”

We have been advised by the RI Director to intimate this to every club immediately so that they will understand the gravity of the situation and take steps to clear the dues.

We have been sending you copies of the dues payable by the clubs for the year 2011-12 at the beginning of every month. As the new set of office bearers will be getting ready to assume office from June/July 2012 onwards, it is important that they know the status of the club regarding payments to Rotary News Magazine.

Request kindly send us the District Directory of your district if it has been published or please send us a typed list of the names and contact details of the Club Presidents/Secretaries of your District. We will start sending individual statements to every club immediately to the new office bearers. Kindly help by sending their contact information or district directory.

We request you to kindly refer to the list sent to you as on April 30, 2012 about the clubs in your district and help by communicating to the President-elect/Secretary-elect the details of the decision communicated by RI Board.

The next statement of outstanding will be generated by end May and sent to DG, DGE and DGN of every district.
